My first Yoga Radiance class

On Monday June 6, 2011 began the support and nourishment of my not for profit program, Yoga Radiance. Yoga for women who are going through active treatment of cancer. This practice will reduce stress and help your body heal itself.  This practice is gentle enough to do even if you are sick or fatigued.

Yoga research at MD Anderson suggests that yoga helps improve sleep outcomes, decreases the side effects of treatment, improves physical functioning aspects of quality of life, and leads to an increase in finding meaning from the illness experience as patients transition from active treatment to cancer survivorship.

This yoga practice is very gentle and effective. The benefit is when you can bridge the mind and body.

Remember to bring your yoga journals and wear comfortable stretchy breathable clothing and I will see you on the mat.

Print this Yoga Radiance pdf and pass it along to someone you know who is in active treatment in the Grand Strand area.

  1. thank you so much for this class! I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed it, and am looking forward to the future. Healing is a such a long process and learning how to take care of ourselves from the inside out is such a help.
